Creating professional looking documents
Skills needed: This is an advanced level workshop and attendees should be confident users of Word.
Requirements: Attendees must have their own computer/laptop (not Tablet) with full Microsoft Word, version 2007 or higher. (To check version, open a document, click on File then Account).
Skills introduced: 1. Advanced formatting of: headers & footers, margins, paragraphs; 2. Drop Caps; 3. Section & page breaks; 4. Tables including formula; 5. Inserting & formatting: Word Art, text boxes, icons, captions, pictures, images, including linking and embedding Excel tables and charts. 6. Columns.
Interactive Workshop: The workshop is interactive and attendees will get hands-on experiences transforming a document containing only text to a professional looking one containing all the above features.
Raw data to work with and useful summary notes will be provided.
This two hour workshop is offered at the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce's training room from time to time and is also available for individual businesses and can be adapted to suit their needs.
